The Hospital of Central Connecticut (THOCC) New Britain General Campus opened in 1899 and has grown into a dynamic, acute-care teaching facility. The New Britain General Campus is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and is a clinical education site for physicians, nurses and many other healthcare professionals. It is part of the Hartford Healthcare network and participates in ACS NSQIP.
